I have always wanted to change the world. I feel silly, even childish, writing it down or saying it out loud. When asked about my goals, dreams and vision for life though I can’t help but talk about my belief that each of us has the ability (and duty) to change the world for the better. This is the start of an encouraging community of individuals interested in growing and building better lives together.
I believe change happens when we find gratitude for every tiny step, every failure, every hiccup and every smile along our journey. It happens when we start to live in the now and spread more joy, love, and community while confronting feelings of hate, shame and anger. That is how I am changing my world, and how I hope to inspire you to change yours. By doing what we can, when we can and growing stronger and more resilient each day, we can all make a difference.
We are a community of learners, lovers, parents, educators, survivors, children, healers and young people. We value honesty, vulnerability, social and environmental consciousness, diversity, challenging the status quo, as well as facing fears, insecurities and shame. We exist to support, grow, question, help, share failures and best practices, and celebrate every up and down.
If you are open minded and love to challenge the status quo, then you’ll feel right at home here. I have wanted to start a blog since I traveled to Sri Lanka almost three years ago, but I let my insecurities and fear of vulnerability hold me back. I am done letting fear of failure control my life. I am embracing my failures and learning to celebrate them.
